Seeking Attorney - Defense Construction Litigation Labor Law

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Attorney located in Elmsford, NY and our New York offices with flexibility for remote work. Pillinger Miller Tarallo, LLP is seeking attorneys with construction litigation experience in defense work. New York Bar required and New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania Bars a plus. We are looking for Construction Litigation Labor Law Attorney to join a growing team that handles a significant amount of construction litigation cases. The right candidate will have substantive experience handling cases that deal with Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6), as well as contractual indemnification issues between the parties. Strong Labor Law deposition experience a must. The attorney will join a thriving team and manage their own cases day to day with collaboration and availability from Team Leaders. The attorney will report to clients and carriers, appear in Court for conferences and motions, comply with discovery, take and defend depositions, coordinate medical examinations and prepare and file motions. The team also handles premises liability cases, so a general working knowledge of negligence cases preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6)
• Strong knowledge of contractual indemnification issues between the parties
• Strong Labor Law deposition experience a must
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Manage your own cases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases
• New York Bar required and New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania Bars a plus.
• Prior experience in civil litigation
