Description
SUMMARY : Assists Coordinator of Recruitment, Licensing and Training/Executive Director with program's Foster Caregiver recruitment and licensing needs including preserving licensure for the Foster Caregiver's home.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Conducts general assessments of potential and active Foster Caregiver homes.
•Stays up to date of applicable state's licensing rules and regulations for foster homes.
•Informs foster care givers of changes in licensing requirement and ensures compliance with State law.
•Maintain records and data on all recruitment activities. Compiles data on training requirements for management's analysis.
•Schedules and prepares training site and coordinates materials for recruitment and training sessions.
•Respond to potential candidates' questions and provide instruction on becoming a foster caregiver.
•Monitor current Foster Caregiver Homes for compliance with state and other regulatory requirements
•Conduct pre-service and in-service trainings
•Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (Bachelor's in a related human services field preferred) and two years of administrative experience, preferably in child welfare services.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
•Valid state driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car.
Florida, Georgia, & Maryland: Bodily liability insurance in the amount of : $100,000/claim; $300,000/incident
•Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
•Must submit to pass random drug tests during employment.
•Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
•Must complete 40 hours of training annually.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CULTURAL COMPETENCY: Ability to relate, understand, accept and interact in a culturally sensitive manner.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, co-workers, managers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and finger to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, listen and stand and walk to interact with the children. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
