Sheltering Arms, a premier provider of physical rehabilitation services, is currently seeking a Fitness Wellness Technician to join our NeuroFit team at our Hanover Center. This candidate will need to be able to work Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Fridays from 8am to 2pm.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting NeuroFit Coordinator and/or Manager in all areas including customer service.
• Under certified Exercise Physiologists’ professional guidance, provides client care in specific treatment programs, including assisting with strengthening exercises, ambulating, and advance technology set up.
• Monitoring exercise areas and equipment to insure a safe and quality environment for all clients.
• Provides information on NeuroFit and other fitness services to prospective clients.
• Ability to manage emergency situations.
• Assisting with clinic cleaning, organization and routine duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/physiology or related field is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• A great deal of flexibility as well as reliability required.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and special needs is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to function as a member of a team.
• Ability to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of customers in the age groups served.
• Basic computer skills (i.e., Excel; Word; Outlook).
