Summary

The General Manager/Store Manager will provide leadership for 2-3 Sales associates while also performing the duties of a sales associate. GM is directly responsible for all sales and operations of the retail location including staffing, store inventory management, store cleanliness, merchandising, product ordering, weekly deposits to the bank, and other day to day responsibilities. The incumbent will have and maintain high level interface directly with the customer and retail location partners on a regular basis.

Essential Functions

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee internal check in of inventory to ensure products are properly input into the inventory management system and merchandised for sale.
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with processes by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
• Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s) and with other work groups within the organization. Review data, identify and implement necessary actions as required.
• Manage and report out profit and loss statements relative to the store's goals and metrics
• Lead a proactive safety program within the store in order to provide a safe and secure work environment. Instruct and enforce location safety management plans, training and processes.
• Monitor the maintenance of equipment for assigned work group(s) by using checklists and observations as required.
• Experience driving a forklift (both loading and unloading pallets) preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Four (4) years or more in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related fields.
• Two (2) years or more Supervisory experience required. Two (2) years’ experience or more in customer service.
• Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Logistics.
• Two (2) years or more Profit & Loss experience preferred. Two (2) years or more Application experience of Lean principles, systems and tools required.

Travel: Minimum travel required within the local market. Zero overnight stays
