Association for Child Development is Hiring an On-Site Visiting Compliance Specialist Near Chicago, IL

Visiting Compliance Specialist – City of Chicago and surrounding areas.

The Association for Child Development is seeking to hire a Day Care Center Visiting Compliance Specialist. This position will have a caseload in the City of Chicago and surrounding areas.

$22.00/hour pay rate.

Mileage reimbursement $0.67 cents per mile.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

What We Need From You:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Daily access to a vehicle, driver's license, and auto insurance.

Beginner to Intermediate Microsoft Office experience: Excel, Outlook, Word.

Ability to work independently.

Home Internet access.

Non-profit experience and knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) would be great.

The Basic Job Duties (not all inclusive):

Monitor day care center's participation in the CACFP by conducting on-site reviews.

Conducting at least one regular center review each trimester with each childcare center assigned to her/him, as well as special center reviews as necessary including supper, weekend, and shift reviews. A total of three reviews are required in each fiscal year, and at least two reviews must be unannounced. All reviews must include a meal/snack observation, unless approved by Center Operations Manager.

Educate childcare centers on all CACFP requirements, including specific United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), ISBE, and the Association for Child Development (ACD) rules, regulations, and guidelines; and conduct monitoring visits to assure compliance of all CACFP regulations.

Follow established procedures to review and process all components of centers’ paperwork to verify the validity of monthly reimbursement claims submitted by the childcare centers.

Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state procedures and policies of the CACFP in order to ensure that all menus and other documents meet the appropriate USDA requirements.
