is also responsible for organizing Blackburn Center's public relations, community education and in-service training, and primary prevention programming. This is a non-exempt position as defined in the Fair Labor Standards Act. *RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:* * Develops and presents informational and educational programs for the general public and in-service training for professionals in the community. * Assists the Education/Outreach Program Manager in development of educational programs to meet the needs of the students, professionals, and the general community, including handouts and other materials. * Supports Blackburn Center's primary prevention programming. * Presents public awareness programs on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, incest and the services provided by the agency to the community. * Provides training on diversity in the workplace. *QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:* * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in communications or related field. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. and experience in public speaking. * Ability to present oneself in a professional manner to individuals and groups. * Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage time effectively, establish priorities and function both independently and as a team member. * Ability to work with ease with people of differing backgrounds, ages, maturity, abilities, races, colors, creeds, genders, ancestry, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, and experiences. * PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and Federal Fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check. * Valid driver's license if travel is a required component of the job. * Commitment to and the ability to articulate the program philosophy of the agency.
