SALARY

· Range 73 ($42,501.60 - $71,083.20)

· Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in therapeutic recreation, recreation, or a closely related field.
• 48 months or more experience in recreation, physical education, or therapeutic activities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

• Must possess or be eligible to receive Certification as a CTRS through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Society or board certified as a music therapist under (CBMT) the Certification Board for Music Therapy.

KIND OF WORK

• Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the Therapeutic Recreation and Rehabilitation Departments.

• Provides supervision to the recreation/rehabilitative staff.

• Coordinates ongoing staff development programs for Therapeutic Recreation and Rehabilitation personnel.

• Performs a monthly assessment of Recreation staff documentation.

• Ensures that the department utilizes Electronic Health Records for documentation of Therapeutic Recreation.

• Coordinates transportation for off campus patient activities.
