The Asset Preservation Technician, will be responsible to perform general technical maintenance work to include preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment while ensuring that cleanliness and safety is maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in electronic / mechanical technology or a closely related technical field is a plus
  • Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and speak English due to the safety sensitivity of this role
  • Multitasking & prioritizing in a high-pressure environment without a lot of direction or management
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Compliance to ISO 14001 and IATF rules and regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooter/diagnostic checks for equipment including programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, presses, conveying equipment, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Equipment upgrade and renovations methods and implementation. Inspect equipment to ensure it meets design specifications
  • Alerts of any process that compromises, or will potentially compromise product quality, personnel safety, environmental health, or proprietary information
  • Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed
  • Evaluate and determine parts for renovations
  • Provide technical assistance to our regional sites
  • Perform technical plant audits (travel)
  • Oversee or perform general housekeeping, as well as upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology
  • Perform breakdown analysis
  • Read blueprints to determine how equipment should function
  • Inspect equipment to ensure it meets design specifications
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Perform repairs on more advanced production equipment as needed
  • Analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation
  • Train new technical personnel
