The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic yet mature and responsible individual, who lives locally in the West Henrietta/Rochester area, has established roots in the community and is looking for a long-term association with a great company! Must possess great customer service and computer skills. Self storage and/or property maintenance experience is a plus. Veteran and retiree applicants are encouraged! Must be available on Saturdays.

We are looking for an individual who has a semi-flexible schedule and is able to work 20 hours a week, 3 to 4 days per week; Saturdays are a must (8:30am to 5pm). Competitive salary is being offered for this part-time position to the appropriate individual interested in working in a rewarding work environment. For the qualified candidate, we are offering a starting salary of up to $20k ($20 per hour), which is based on a 20 hour per week, 50 week year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest-level customer service both in person, phone and email.
  • Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including offering packing and moving supplies, and insurance.
  • Prepare and execute all documents associated with leasing a storage unit.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by collecting rents, forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures.
  • Walk and maintain property by investigating and resolving issues, scheduling repairs, and maintain the highest of cleanliness standards both inside and outside of the property.
  • Ability to travel/float between two Global Self Storage facilities within 20 minutes/11 miles of each other.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
  • Achieve organization’s goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to the job and to the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years Customer Service and/or Sales experience
  • A High School diploma /GED equivalent. College education a plus
  • Ability to perform light maintenance.
  • Moderate computer skills-knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and ability to learn new applications.
  • Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work Saturdays regularly.
