High Point Country Club is seeking an experienced Part-Time Maintenance/Housekeeper to join our team! Have you ever wanted to work with an outstanding team of professionals in a beautiful environment? If so, this opportunity may be for you! The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of care for both our clubhouse campuses located six miles apart. We are looking for someone who is hands on and has a strong work ethic.
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
Cleans and maintains 2 Clubhouses
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors; sweeps and vacuums rugs and baseboards; shampoos and spot clean carpets.
Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
Empties, cleans and lines waste receptacles and disposes of trash.
Washes doors, windows, walls, ceilings, venetian blinds and furniture.
Polishes metalwork.
Cleans, disinfects, and stocks restrooms.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Requisitions supplies and notifies supervisor of expected shortages in a timely manner.
Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed.
Reports repair and maintenance needs to supervisor.
Cleans lighting fixtures and replaces light bulbs.
Closes windows, turns off lights and locks doors to secure buildings.
Ensure the security of all facilities.
Maintains and keeps equipment and materials in proper condition.
Picks up paper and sweeps and washes areas around building and facilities.
May assist other maintenance personnel in maintaining buildings and fixtures.
Moves furniture as necessary.
Light electrical, plumbing and appliance repair work.
Observes all Club safety practices and protocols.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of proper cleaning methods and safe usage of cleaning chemicals, materials, disinfectants, janitorial tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills
Pleasant demeanor. Works well with staff and members of the Club.
Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
Maintain a professional image at all times.
Customer Service driven.
Strong work ethic.
Strives for member satisfaction.
Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass a drug screening.
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Flexible in working hours (available on nights, weekends and open to some overtime)
Prior Maintenance and Housekeeper experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors and involve physical strength and endurance. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, repetitive motions, bending, lifting, pushing, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and transport up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
