We are seeking a dedicated Estimating Assistant/Support with over 1 year of experience in commercial construction estimating. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting and Collaboration:
- Report to the Senior Estimator.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Manager and team on potential opportunities.
- Bid Management:
- Monitor various bid opportunity platforms.
- Attend pre-construction meetings.
- Assist in preparing proposals.
- Research items and request prices as needed.
- Manage subcontractor procurement.
- Review plans and specifications, maintaining communication with subcontractors throughout the bidding process.
- Manage preconstruction RFIs during the bid period.
- Scope and Pricing:
- Assist in developing subcontract scopes of work.
- Aid in reviewing pricing and scope of work for contracts.
- Data Management:
- Update data in the company job management software.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, including supporting documentation; copy, scan, and file records.
- Learning and Development:
- Independently research and learn about products.
- Familiarize yourself with department processes and computer files.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (or similar takeoff software).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Professional behavior and communication.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with technology, computers, and software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
