Description

The Patient Care Representative’s primary function is to greet patients upon arrival to the facility, obtain appropriate demographic and insurance information, and prepare the patient and corresponding medical record for the visit.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical support for providers, patients, and office operations
• Greet patients warmly as they arrive
• Obtain and electronically document patient demographic, insurance, and payment information
• Assist parent and children in the reception area
• Verify eligibility and insurance information
• Collect credit card and co-payment information
• Fax, file, scan necessary paperwork
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the waiting room
• Keep front reception stocked with adequate supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English & Spanish, required
• Prior experience as a receptionist in a healthcare environment, preferred
• A processional and friendly demeanor
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and EMR systems, preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
