Business Development Engineer
Job Summary:
W.S. Tyler is searching for an enthusiastic, strategic individual to fill the role of Business Development Engineer. In this crucial position, you'll play a key role in identifying industry-specific opportunities, building impactful relationships, identifying solutions, and driving revenue growth. Ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering growth opportunities, educating decision-makers, and ensuring our customers are delighted with every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry-Specific Opportunities: The Business Developer’s goal will be to identify industry-specific opportunities to support the long-term growth plan of the organization
Relationship Building: Understand industry/customer pain points and work closely with our internal team to identify solutions to educate decision-makers.
Collaboration: W.S. Tyler and our parent company, Haver & Boecker in Germany, work closely to align, make strategic sales decisions, and implement best practices. Growing together with Haver & Boecker is essential to this position’s success
Product Knowledge and Content Creation: Learn and develop in-depth knowledge of our products to actively participate in creating educational and engaging content (blog posts and videos, whitepapers, presentations, etc.) We see ourselves as the trusted voice and believe in educating and teaching our customers as best as possible.
Solution-Driven Sales: Problem-solving with customers and collaboration with internal teams such as production, engineering, quality, and marketing departments. The new business will largely depend on the development of new woven wire mesh products and customer-specific solutions.
Customer Visits: Conduct visits to potential customers to grow relationships and gain deeper insights into their challenges and feedback.
Sales and Revenue Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively identifying new sales opportunities. Accurately forecast Monthly / Quarterly expected revenue from new customers, and close deals to drive company revenue.
This role is integral to our commitment to customer success and revenue growth. As a key member of our Revenue Team, the Business Developer will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to attracting new business, customer education, engagement, and continuous delight.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable technical training with further commercial training/experience.
