THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS

Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level — we are the premier, open-source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. To make this happen, we need someone passionate, ambitious, curious, and competitive to help our business and play a fundamental role in building something special. This is where you come in.

We are expanding globally to serve the needs of our large International clients who are predominantly in banking, healthcare, insurance, and more. As a Solutions Engineer in the sales organisation, you will be talking to prospective clients to understand their current challenges and delivering tailored demos to show how Gravitee can address those challenges. You will drive technical conversations with developers and architects to position Gravitee as the best technical fit and also contribute to internal and external content like blog articles, videos, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Engage with customers to understand challenges, goals and existing technical landscape
• Deliver demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts and content to help customers define, evaluate and implement solutions to their problems
• Act as evangelist and subject matter expert on Gravitee’s platform, product strategy and API management best practises
• Collaborate on content creation, webinar presentations and conferences

ESSENTIAL SKILLS - The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:

• Some coding or scripting experience (e.g Java, Python, JavaScript)
• Strong understanding of REST, JSON, XML, CI/CD concepts and bash/shell
• Foundational understanding of OAuth2, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and GraphQL
• Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure and GCP
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present advanced technical topics to a variety of audiences
• Hunger and passion to explore, learn and master new technologies
• Mentality to win and becoming the best on what you do

DESIRED SKILLS - Additionally, these skills are not required, but preferable:

• Experience with API management, API gateway and event broker technologies
• Experience in technical customer facing roles in either customer success, professional services or solutions engineering roles
• Experience with AI/LLM technologies and frameworks
• Experience with Identity and Access Management solutions
• European language skills are always a plus
