Position Summary: RSG is seeking talent for a Senior Maintenance Manager job in our Hudson, Wisconsin location. This position is responsible for managing the department responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure the efficient and continuous functioning of the plant. Organize, direct, and supervise all maintenance personnel and processes in a refrigeration manufacturing facility.

Specific Functions:

  • Responsible for plant maintenance including facilities, utilities, and operations to reduce downtime and assure peak plant efficiencies
  • Will direct capital engineering design and projects to completion and work with appropriate vendors. This position will also have direct responsibility for the maintenance team and their performance
  • Promote safety throughout the entire maintenance organization
  • Responsible for all maintenance department metrics
  • Prepare and operate within the established maintenance operating budget and monitor departmental expenditures. Manage building and equipment maintenance budgets under guidance from the Director of Operations
  • Assist with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer term capital budgets
  • Execute the capital plan to include all engineering design and project management, working with both internal and external resources
  • Expertise with local/state/federal environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all operational permits
  • Directs all aspects of building operations including maintenance, repairs and renovations
  • Establishes criteria for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with outside contractors and service companies
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
  • Able to lead Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) events on critical machinery
  • Calculate annual maintenance cost and make annual plans to reduce this cost
  • Develop and implement Management of Change (MoC) process for new or changing machinery in facility
  • Diagnose and determine repair plans for broken machinery and parts
  • Facility management (fire sprinkler system, electric/water/gas systems, snow removal, yard maintenance)
  • Set up machine inspection processes and determine timing
  • Organize and document parts stock
  • Determine and order any replacement parts
  • Be heavily involved with equipment installation, removal, and upgrades
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge & experience in project management & facilities administration with demonstrated ability to manage projects and personnel
  • Must be computer literate; experienced in using Microsoft Office suite of programs, and computer software applications such as CAD, MS Project Management, etc.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skills
  • Must have a proven track record of successfully managing the construction of large, complex projects
  • Comprehensive information on construction processes, trade practices, standards, building codes & regulations
  • Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs
  • Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
  • Understanding of how automated manufacturing equipment works (PLC, HMI, I/O)
  • Experience working with automated controls and coding

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, facility management, or other related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facility/maintenance management.

Candidates will be considered qualified for this position if their education and experience are determined to be equivalent.
