PMCO is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Detroit, MI

Location: Detroit, MI

Salary: $24/hr-$26/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Replacing pumps, motors, valves, and other plant equipment.
• Installing and repairing plant piping systems.
• Cleaning and maintaining production tanks.
• Repairing and servicing heat exchangers.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Supporting equipment upgrades and rebuild projects.
• Operating plant mobile equipment such as bobcats, manlifts, forklifts, shuttle wagons, and floor sweepers.
• Assisting operators with filter cleaning to maintain production flow.
• Safely operating overhead cranes to load reduction tanks with raw materials.
• Maintaining, organizing, and cleaning the maintenance shop and other facility areas.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience in a chemical plant preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials handling, lockout/tagout procedures, use of PPE, and confined space safety.
• Maintenance background required. Mechanically proficient.
• Capable of performing basic plant maintenance tasks independently.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extremes of temperature, rain, and snow.
• Preferred licensure for operating a forklift, manlift, and bobcat. Must not have physical restrictions that prevent obtaining such a license.
• Must be able to wear a respirator without physical restrictions.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible shifts as required by plant production needs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
