The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the young learner, a thorough developmental and practical understanding of the teaching of reading and writing, and an interest in collaborating with grade level colleagues. This candidate will have a strong background in effective classroom management, social emotional learning, and be a collaborative team player. Experience with Eureka Math and Fountas and Pinnell Literacy curriculums, and an understanding of the science of reading is preferred.
