Job Description
Qualifications: Professional Educator Certification (Master’s Degree)
Preferred Master’s Degree/ Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership
Reports to: Deputy Superintendent
Salary: 10-month appointment Per the Tallassee City Schools Salary Matrix
Job Goal: Collaborate with district and school leadership to co-create a learning environment that demonstrates optimal instructional and assessment qualities aligned to maximum student achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Provides conceptual guidance for teachers regarding effective, engaging instructional delivery of content.
- Models and promotes practical, engaging instructional practices utilizing technology with interactive, personalized assessments.
- Systematically engages staff in implementing research-based strategies for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Assist secondary administrators with implementing an effective Multi Tierred Support Systems process prescribed by the Alabama State Department of Education.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of grades 7 - 12 curriculum and assessment initiatives.
- Provides guidance regarding flexible learning environments within the school community while maximizing real-world learning opportunities.
- Conduct teacher instructional walkthroughs and offer insight to enhance instructional delivery, increase student engagement, and expand the learning process for grades 7- 12.
- Assist secondary administrators in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting strategies aligned to benchmark and annual assessment data.
- Attends local, regional, and state professional development.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent.

- Communicate effectively with the public, staff members, students, parents,
administrators, and other contact persons using tact and good judgment
- Follow attendance, punctuality, and proper dress rules
- Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters
- Model and maintain high ethical standards
- Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities
- Maintain expertise in the assigned area to fulfill project goals and objectives
- Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skills and
proficiency related to assignment
- Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Exhibit interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member
- Demonstrate support for the school system and its goals and priorities
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying potential problems or opportunities for
improvement
- Prepare all required reports and maintain all appropriate records
- Ability to understand English in both written and oral forms and related instructions
to solve problems
