Role Summary: The Production Team Lead is responsible for employee safety, product quality, and asset performance while delivering the shift/line/area production plan on time. The leadership of people includes participating in employee onboarding, performance management, and corrective action, and leading by example for others by creating and maintaining a workplace culture that engages and motivates employees at all levels-focusing on results to deliver success as measured by key performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities (or Principle Accountabilities): - Follows LT Foods Company policies.
- Follows and applies with his team all safety rules, processes, and procedures implemented by the Company
- Has the ability to function under highly stressful conditions.
- Checks production schedule to coordinate production and assists in interpreting job orders and product specifications to team members.
- Ensures consistent quality and appearance of the products.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all equipment and tools in the facility while observing all sanitation and safety precautions.
- Trains team members on the proper use of equipment as needed once they have received the proper training certification.
- Ensures that team members are complying with company GMP practices.
- Communicates regularly with and in coordination with the Production Supervisor to assign duties to crew members and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to specifications.
- Carries out team leadership responsibilities by the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees, performance management, planning, assigning, and directing work.

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY This position is responsible for following company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure safe, quality food production, storage, and distribution. Responsible for informing management of any observation or finding that could impact the safety and quality of company products.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Minimum High School education
- Preferred one-year certificate from college or technical school or
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to perform unit measures, conversion calculations, and other mathematical calculations reasonably necessary to perform job duties satisfactorily.
Physical Demands: - Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs. assisted.
Work Environment: This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and there is a risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
