A Day in the Life: As the Foster Coordinator, you will assist the operations of the Foster Department by championing AHS' core values of innovation, compassion, and excellence. You will work alongside the team to model and teach effective communication and animal handling skills while offering support, coaching, feedback and ensuring departmental day-to-day efficiencies. You will promote and support a culture of innovation, compassion and excellence with a positive, can-do attitude. Job Requirements
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum of two years' experience in customer service.
Six months to one year experience in an animal welfare environment is required.
Must be able to safely and humanely handle animals in all stages of recovery.
Ability to train team members and volunteers in job duties and safe animal handling.
Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
Work Environment / Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
