Job Objective : Safely operate coating production equipment to apply adhesives to hook and loop fabrics while maintaining a clean work area.

Following department and company safety rules, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Job Functions :

• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
• Follow SOP's and verbal instructions.
• Operate coating lines to apply a variety of adhesives to hook and loop tapes, with emphasis on producing a quality product.
• Must be able to safely handle hot adhesives and machinery.
• Material handling includes :
• Loading and doffing rolls from production equipment; loading adhesive drums into pump stand and moving material between processes.
• Operators are responsible for accurately entering production WIP moves into the computer and electronically or manually recording additional production data.
• Inspects the facility and equipment regularly, notifies appropriate personnel of any incidents or occurrences that may trigger implementation of the Contingency Plan.
• Packages, labels, and prepares wastes for storage and transportation as requested.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Full time presence required.
• Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.
• Excellent attendance required.
• Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
• Complete basic paperwork.
• Perform accurate data entry.
• Maintain 5S and tidy culture.
• Machine controls and automation skills.
• Proficiency in basic math.
• Self motivated and detail oriented.
• Computer literacy required. Previous chemical handling experience.
• Knowledge of operating manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of adhesives and working knowledge of data management is desirable.
