The Assistant Production Coordinator will work closely with multiple foreman and coordinators to support production needs, keep deadlines, and help ensure smooth day to day operations of the Highway Safety Department. This position is a hybrid office and shop/yard position, including both computer, administrative, material, and vehicle driving duties.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Scheduling Software & Spreadsheets – Updating with status of jobs, production dates, and shop priorities.

- Communicate via verbal, email, and phone calls, clearly and promptly with shop personnel and with sales team on changes to the schedules.

- Analysis and reporting on shop metrics and performance.

- Maintain paper copies of work orders, receipts, POs, and other documentation items.

- Work to ensure accuracy of data in ERP Software

- Audit to ensure material and labor times are accurate on work orders.

- Position vehicles and material needed by shop to streamline and assist in smooth floor operations.

- Assist Quality Control personnel.

- Assist VP of Operations and Production Coordinator with special tasks and projects.

- Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Able to obtain/qualify for a medical card (J-Tech can help supply)

- Valid Driver’s License

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience in (ERP) software preferred but not required.

- 2 years Experience in Manufacturing or production setting preferred.

- Strong Communication Skills and etiquette

- Willingness to engage in problem solving.

- Eagerness to help with tasks as needed.

- Service mentality.
