The DRG coordinator plans and organizes the clinical reimbursement area in the Health Information Management Department (HIM) in accordance with hospital policies, DOH, JCAHO and HIPAA regulations. Candidate should possess good organizational, management, and communication skills.
Requirements:
-BS or AS in Business of Health related field preferred.
-RHIA, RHIT, or CCS required.
-Five years of progressive coding experience in an acute care setting with extensive knowledge of MS-DRG coding and validation.
-Intermediate knowledge of office software products, Experience Invasion, Comp care, or Smart preferred.
-Knowledge of N-Coder or 3M required.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
