Principal Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable microservices and cloud-native applications
• Architect and build highly available, performant, and fault-tolerant systems on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Leverage the Spring Framework and associated technologies (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.) to rapidly develop and deploy Java-based services
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and code reviews
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, designers, and other developers to define and deliver innovative solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and technical debt
• Document designs, processes, and knowledge to support the team and organization

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience as a software developer, with at least 4 years working with Java and the Spring Framework
• Extensive experience designing and building microservices and cloud-native applications on the Azure platform
• Strong understanding of distributed system design patterns, service-oriented architecture, and cloud computing concepts
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related technologies (e.g., Spring Data, Spring Security)
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
