Accounting Intern

Ducommun's Huntsville Performance Center is seeking a Accounting/ Finance Intern to work full-time during the summer. The Accounting Interns enter data into spreadsheets, check the accuracy of financial statements, complete balance sheets, and organize important files.

Our Facility in Huntsville, AR manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.

Job Summary

• Prepare accounting reports to be presented to senior management, such as direct labor reporting, labor utilization, KPI updates, departmental spend reporting.
• Prepare EACs (Estimates at Completion) utilizing internal reports and estimates from key team members.
• Assist in resolving customer account reconciliations.
• Assist in performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in weekly forecasting.
• Assist in month end close (journal entries, analysis, reporting and reconciliations).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
• Proficient in math.

Required Experience and Education

• Ability to complete tasks with little to no help.
• Advanced understanding of accounting software and procedures.
• Professional attitude and teamwork.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
