Alliance Development Sr Manager At Amgen Breda medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines. LIVE What you will do As our Alliance Development Sr Manager, you'll be at the forefront of influencing policy decisions at both the EU level and within individual member countries. In this role, you'll forge strong partnerships with influential patient advocacy groups, championing their voices in policy discussions related to rare diseases, oncology, cardiovascular health, women's health, and beyond. You'll also collaborate closely with non-patient stakeholders who share our commitment to ensuring that EU and national policies support the needs of patients. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of European policymaking, identifying strategic opportunities for engagement, and building alliances that advance our Government Affairs and Policy goals. Whether it's crafting compelling advocacy campaigns, facilitating impactful public forums, or providing invaluable insights to our leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving positive change for patients across Europe. Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will: Build and nurture relationships with patient advocacy groups to support our international policy goals. Develop strategic engagement plans for Amgen leaders at the EU level and with our affiliates, ensuring alignment with patient communities. Focus on alliance development in Brussels and key markets, delivering resources and programs for rare diseases and other therapeutic areas. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts across functions. Execute government policy plans with key stakeholders, empowering patients and caregivers and addressing policy needs. Establish an alliance framework to communicate emerging issues to government and policy stakeholders. Evaluate and share policy needs with EU patient communities, engaging affected communities where relevant. Develop relationships with organizations such as EURODIS and the European Patients Forum to address key policy issues. Produce policy-focused alliance development materials and support education campaigns, patient mapping, and launch activities. The Alliance Development Sr Manager professional we seek should have these qualifications: Doctorate degree with 2 years of directly related experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of directly related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8 years of directly related experience. Experience in patient advocacy and public relations, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry. Prior experience in government affairs is desirable. Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams, senior executives, and external stakeholders. Proven project management skills within EU and member state countries. Ability to effectively convey complex policy messages to patient groups and external stakeholders. Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus. Strong communication skills and proficiency in relevant technology tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
