Reports to the Operations Training Supervisor and is responsible for the delivery of approved technical training materials. Responsibilities may include Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation of training materials in addition to the delivery. The technical training is provided to qualify personnel for positions in plant operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control organization, engineering and/or other technical training.

**This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC**

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS**

Conduct technical training (e.g. classroom and/or on-the-job training), including instruction, exam administration and training effectiveness evaluations:

Implement training program to qualify operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control, and/or other technical personnel to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform work safely with competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.

Coordinate and communicate between the training organization and other line management or support organizations to ensure training needs are identified and met through effective training.

Perform observations and assessments to ensure activities are implemented safely and effectively in accordance with approved procedures.

Support a strong Nuclear Safety Quality Culture (NSQC) by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work, in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

**Education/Experience:**

Minimum Requirements per DOE O 426.2:

High School (HS) Diploma and 8 years of experience in technical training delivery, and/or experience/training in a high hazard facility/nuclear environment. Associates Degree and 6 years of experience in technical training delivery, and/or experience/training in a high hazard facility/nuclear environment. Bachelors of Arts or Science and 4 years of experience in technical training delivery, and/or experience/training in a high hazard facility/nuclear environment.

**Preferred candidates will have:**

At least 8 years technical experience in operations, maintenance, or related technical position in Naval Nuclear, Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations.

At least 3 years experience in technical instruction of a DOE Order 426.2 curricula.

At least 1 years experience in technical training development, using a systematic approach to training.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

**This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.**

**Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site** .

**COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99,193.03 - $154,255.09 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
