Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year

We are a leading CPA firm with 3 locations spanning the Baltimore area. In the past couple years we have also won several local awards- Top Places to Work For, #1 Accounting firm, Best of Accounting for Client Satisfaction. We're seeking a highly skilled Audit Associate to join our team in any of our locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a public accounting firm. Prior experience in nonprofit, for-profit, and employee benefit plans highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax issues and provide solutions to clients
- Assist clients in tax planning and compliance strategies
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of tax returns
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance to clients accordingly
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax projects
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in public accounting on the audit side.
- Prior experience with nonprofit, for-profit, employee benefit plans, and etc preferred
- CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
