Scope of the Role
Maintain on-premises Windows and Linux system environments for highly secure and fault tolerant operational environment. Continuously monitor systems and environment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain systems for un. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Perform server administration tasks, including backups and patching, user management, and maintaining system/environment security posture.
Monitor and administer network, including firewall, switches and WAPs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including:
Physical device failures
Server Operating System and service/s failures
User access/privileges
Assist with installing and maintaining mission critical applications.
Maintain IT inventory.
Regularly monitor and maintain active user lists. Skills and Qualifications – Required (Used in current operation. Some training available to fill limited skill and knowledge gaps)
1 years hands-on experience with:
Windows Server 2019
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (or RHEL, CentOS)
Must understand basic networking concepts – protocols, ports, and subnetting.
Must understand network storage and database concepts.
Must understand computer system virtualization.
Must understand IT security concepts and associated controls.
Must understand physical hardware configuration and monitoring.
Must be on-site as required.
Must be available for off-hours support as needed.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance. Skills and Qualifications – Desirable
Relevant professional certifications
AWS or Azure experience
