About Cross Roads House:
Cross Roads House, established in 1982, is New Hampshire’s second largest homeless shelter. Our mission is to offer shelter, respect and collaborative solutions to unhoused individuals and families who aspire to return to permanent housing and thrive in their community. Serving Rockingham and Strafford counties in NH and southern York County in ME, CRH offers both emergency and transitional shelter, as well as individualized case management, access to partner services and supportive programming that sets our residents up for success when returning to permanent housing.
CRH is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Staff are available around the clock to meet the immediate needs of our residents, provide safety and work with them to achieve their housing goals as soon as possible. Our work is bolstered by a diligent and active board of directors, as well as a longstanding commitment from the surrounding community through financial and in-kind donations, volunteering and partnerships with other local organizations. We stand by our mission as thought leaders in the space of housing advocacy as well, working with local and state leaders to address issues of affordable housing and building a community where everyone is given the chance to find a home and to thrive.
