POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A Sales Account Manager -- Full-Time is responsible for carrying out sales operations for Mayco items. The position entails conversing with customers, filling orders, ascertaining the cost of specialty items (with the assistance of management), and documenting all sales calls. This position will be able to talk about and sell all of Mayco’s product lines.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIRED SKILLS:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree
Minimum two (2) years sales experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer abilities with expertise in Excel, Word, Power Point & Publisher
Ability to multitask and self-manage
Good math proficiency
Strong attention to detail
Solid analytical skills highly desired
Experience in distributor sales, technical sales, and/or construction sales a plus (not necessary)
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Develop proficiency in all of Mayco’s products
Administer existing account relationships though regular, daily communication and interactions
o Some in person customer visits may be necessary
o Occasional overnight travel may be necessary
Sell products and take orders via phone
Timely administration of orders
o Entered in system and communicated to production within same business day as receipt
o Timely, effective communication with customers regarding production lead times or changes in material availability within same business day
Effective management of account needs
o RMA/Credit processing
o Change orders
o Shipping needs/question
Look for and develop new business opportunities/customers for all products
o Minimum 15% of weekly activities to include calls, emails, and quotes
Coordinate, manage and in some cases, attend, trade shows
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk or sit approximately eight (8) hours/day
Ability to bend and stoop
Ability to drive a car and travel
