Packaging Engineer - Pouch Packaging (m/f/d)

We help our renowned clients to successfully implement complex projects - from plant commissioning and process optimization to quality management projects.

Currently, we are looking for a packaging engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on pouch packaging solutions to support our customers in the life science industry.

Your responsibilities:

• Development, evaluation and optimization of pouch packaging solutions, e.g. for liquid and semi-solid food or beverage products.
• Selection of suitable packaging materials with regards to barrier properties, product protection, processability and sustainability.
• Technical evaluation of new packaging concepts, considering shelf life, product safety, machine capability and consumer friendliness.
• Support with packaging testing, e.g. seal strength, tightness, shelf-life tests or transport behavior.
• Coordination with production and filling technology (e.g. form-fill-seal systems) and close cooperation with suppliers and machine manufacturers.

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the field of packaging technology, beverage technology, food technology, mechanical engineering, plastics technology or a comparable field.
• First professional experience in the development, quality assurance or production of flexible packaging solutions required - ideally with a focus on pouch packaging.
• Practical experience with packaging machines (e.g. FFS, flow-wrapping machines, high-frequency sealing or similar) is an advantage.
• Understanding of hygienic requirements, food safety and legal requirements in the food sector (e.g. food contact materials).
• Performance orientation, assertiveness, reliable and independent working style.
• Very good and confident communication skills in English (level C1), German is an advantage.
