British American Tobacco Germany has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Finance Manager (m/f/d) in Bayreuth.
What are your main responsibilities?
Actively contribute to BAT’s financial targets by managing all finance related activities within BAT Germany Operations
Be a member of the local Management team, responsible for developing and delivering the company’s short- and long-term strategy for Operations by giving financial advice and management information as well as supporting the Management team in the development of financial knowledge and commercial awareness by ensuring their understanding of the financial/business impact of their activities and decisions
Provide input particularly in the provision and analysis of cost plans related to manning plans, and guidance to the strategic and company planning processes
Ensure that processes are in place to identify financial performance of Operations and proactively seek ways to drive improved effectiveness of spend
Provide financial support to any ongoing Operations projects as required, together with any required review of these projects following implementation
Ensure a robust control environment is in place, including compliance to SoX requirements, for all financial areas of the business. Ensure relevant legal and internal policy requirements, procedures and controls are in place
Technical and disciplinary management of employees in the finance department, regular performance of employee appraisal interviews, professional and personal development and talent promotion, career and succession planning of team members
Responsibility for the careful planning and optimization of the profit & loss as well as the cash flow statement and the balance sheet
Effective control and optimization of annual budgets
Optimization of annual investments with the help of business case and spend effectiveness analyses
Ensuring adherence to and continuous development of compliance processes for the finance department as well as the location with all business units
Preparation and coordination of internal and external audits
Planning and support of regional and global financial and strategy projects with the aim of sustainable efficiency increase and cost reduction
What are we looking for?
Overall business knowledge, ability to think and operate strategically, outstanding analytical skills
Professional with at least five years of finance background incl. managerial experience
Experience in Controlling and toll environment beneficial
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence key stakeholders
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Fluent English speaker
Up-to-date financial management skills
