We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in the automotive sector. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and improve quality control processes, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
What to expect:
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Utilize 8D methodology for problem-solving and customer complaint management
Apply Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to assess potential risks in product and process design
Lead Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to monitor and improve process performance
Conduct and support internal and external audits (e.g., VDA 6.3, supplier audits, customer audits)
Ensure compliance with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive supplier quality improvements
Analyze and report key quality metrics, including PPM (Parts per Million), First Pass Yield (FPY), and Defect Rate
Lead and participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) initiatives
Support product launch activities and drive quality assurance in new product development
What you bring along:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
3 years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive industry
Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3)
Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodologies
Proficiency in problem-solving tools such as 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fishbone), and PDCA
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers is a plus
Proficiency in quality-related software and tools (e.g., Minitab, SAP, QMS software)
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is an advantage
Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German)
