Title: Data Scientist – Climate Impact & Industry Analytics (Berlin)

We’re working with a rapidly scaling climate data firm on the lookout for a Data Scientist to join their Berlin-based team. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your technical expertise to high-impact climate intelligence initiatives that serve sectors like energy, heavy industry, and manufacturing. You’ll be part of a mission-driven, international group of experts focused on turning complex datasets into actionable insights.

You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and improving statistical and machine learning models that feed into a suite of cutting-edge analytics products. Your work will directly inform decision-making in key global industries transitioning toward sustainability.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and refine sector-specific data models with a focus on climate impact, emissions, and industrial trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into client-facing solutions
• Act as a technical advisor to clients, helping troubleshoot issues and providing support around data interpretation
• Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous QA during regular updates
• Conduct independent research into new modeling techniques, tools, and methodologies
• Document and update data model frameworks for transparency and scalability

What You’ll Bring:

• 3 years’ experience working in data science, ideally within sustainability, industrial, or economic modeling
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and R
• Deep familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning techniques
• Knowledge of NLP is a bonus
• A curious mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex topics
• English is essential; German is beneficial
