Title:Data Scientist – Climate Impact & Industry Analytics (Berlin)
We’re working with a rapidly scaling climate data firm on the lookout for a Data Scientist to join their Berlin-based team. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your technical expertise to high-impact climate intelligence initiatives that serve sectors like energy, heavy industry, and manufacturing. You’ll be part of a mission-driven, international group of experts focused on turning complex datasets into actionable insights.
You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and improving statistical and machine learning models that feed into a suite of cutting-edge analytics products. Your work will directly inform decision-making in key global industries transitioning toward sustainability.
What You’ll Do:
Build and refine sector-specific data models with a focus on climate impact, emissions, and industrial trends
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into client-facing solutions
Act as a technical advisor to clients, helping troubleshoot issues and providing support around data interpretation
Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous QA during regular updates
Conduct independent research into new modeling techniques, tools, and methodologies
Document and update data model frameworks for transparency and scalability
What You’ll Bring:
3 years’ experience working in data science, ideally within sustainability, industrial, or economic modeling
Strong programming proficiency in Python and R
Deep familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning techniques
Knowledge of NLP is a bonus
A curious mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex topics
English is essential; German is beneficial
