Assistant Accountant

The role and company

You are an assistant accountant and you process the financial administration of our customers. Your customer portfolio consists of entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized enterprises. You build a relationship and answer questions they have. You check and correct data and changes from the financial administration. As an assistant accountant, you will be assigned a subject mentor. Your subject mentor coaches you in technical knowledge, so that you continue to develop yourself. You collect and process the financial administration in an efficient manner and prepare the sales tax return of your customer portfolio.

You are based in Maastricht and work hybrid. You are part of a team of 2000 co-workers. At Mastricht you will work together with your colleagues from the compilation practice, business advice and tax advice. What makes our cluster unique is the bond between colleagues. Your top 3 activities as an assistant accountant are:

  • processing the entire financial administration of your own customer portfolio;
  • efficient organization of the digital processing of administrations;
  • contact with customers to answer questions about the administration.


What do you bring?

For this position, it is at least important that you:

  • a tertiary qualification either bachelor's degree or diploma in accountancy or business economics;
  • have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
