Solutions Engineer

Who We Are

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solutions Engineer to help our customers implement our products in their systems, as well as assist our sales team in winning customers. If you thrive in the fast-paced environment of a small team and are excited about playing a pivotal role in shaping the product of an early-stage startup, then this opportunity is made for you.

dlt is an open-source library that automatically creates datasets from messy, unstructured data sources. You can use the library to move data from just about anywhere into the most well-known SQL and vector stores, data lakes, storage buckets, or local engines like DuckDB. It automates many cumbersome data engineering tasks and can be handled by anyone who knows Python. More details in this Hacker News article.

dltHub is based in Berlin and New York City. It was founded by data and machine learning veterans. We are backed by Foundation Capital, Dig Venture, and many technical founders from companies such as Hugging Face, Instana, Matillion, Miro, MotherDuck, Datadog, Mode and Rasa.

Requirements

Your Task and Responsibilities

The solutions engineering team both manages post-sales activities and contributes to pre-sales activities. You will be a key member of this team, performing tasks like:

• Help our customers implement and deploy dlt and dlt in their systems
• Manage the full customer lifecycle
• Collaborate with our CEO to support the sales process, e.g. by building demos
• Gather feedback from customers and collaborate with the product team to address customer challenges and feature requests
• Manage customer-facing materials (documentation, presentations, website, training materials)
• Run training sessions with customers
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Experience in a technical customer facing role (e.g. Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer or similar)
• Experience in a Data Engineering (or similar) role
• Quick learner, eager to explore new technologies
• Working knowledge of python and data landscape solutions
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience teaching & communicating technical material
• Prior experience with dlt
• Prior experience with dlt's ecosystem, e.g.:
• Iceberg
• dbt
• Snowflake
• Databricks
• DuckDB
• Relational databases
• Airflow
