About Us

Greenman Energy is a company within the Greenman Group, specializing in the installation and operation of photovoltaic systems and fast-charging stations for electric vehicles. Currently, we are deploying our systems across approximately 100 supermarkets owned by the Greenman OPEN fund, but in the coming years, we plan to expand our portfolio to include third-party properties.

Additionally, we are in the certification process to become an electricity supplier, building a logistics and import division, and expanding into Poland. Our headquarters is located in Hamburg-Mitte, Germany.

The Position:

As Finance Manager, you will take on a key leadership role within the finance department, driving the optimization of financial processes and contributing to the development of a high-performing finance team.

Your Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting: Independent preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements

· Liquidity & Cash Flow Management: Responsibility for liquidity planning and cash flow calculations

· Collaboration with External Partners: Coordination and cooperation with auditors and tax advisors

· Accounting & Bookkeeping:

-Processing and posting of incoming invoices

-Bank transaction posting

-Maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable

-Preparation of payment proposal lists

-Issuing outgoing invoices

-Reconciliation of financial accounting account

· Tax & Compliance: Handling special tax topics and cooperating with tax authorities

· Deadline Management: Ensuring compliance with all financial deadlines

· Team Leadership & Onboarding:

-Training and onboarding of new employees

-Conducting performance and probationary period reviews

· VAT & Expense Management:

-Reviewing and preparing VAT pre-declarations

-Ensuring correct and regular travel expense reporting

· Communication & Administration: Liaising with authorities and preparing official filings

Your Profile:

Requirements & Skills:

· Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)

· Experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling

· Strong analytical and organizational skills

· Experience with financial reporting & audits (annual and quarterly closing)

· Liquidity & cash flow management (monitoring financial health, forecasting)

· Experience with tax compliance (VAT declarations, corporate tax regulations etc.)

Nice to have:

· Experience in financial settlements in the energy sector, especially in green energy

· Knowledge of financial regulations related to electricity suppliers and renewable energy projects
