We are looking for you for an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Augsburg from now on.
Have you already started an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) elsewhere but were unable to complete it, or would you like to change companies? Then we offer you the opportunity to start in the second or third year of your apprenticeship. Before you tell us who you are with your application, let's tell you a little bit about us. Hosokawa Alpine is an internationally active special machine construction company. In our two business areas, mechanical process engineering and film extrusion, we are on a par with other world-class companies. With over 120 years of know-how and excellent expertise, we know how to develop the most efficient and best solutions. With our approximately 800 employees, we rely on resource-saving and sustainable technologies made in Germany and ensure the highest customer satisfaction. Global presence and successful growth combined with a forward-looking mindset, flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, long-term partnerships and varied tasks in special mechanical engineering - that is Hosokawa Alpine.
What can you expect during your apprenticeship?
- We devote ourselves primarily to CNC milling/turning, but also to setup, tool presetting and quality control.
- Our dedicated trainers will help you with all your questions and challenges.
- Parallel to your training in the company, you will attend vocational school.
- Your tasks include, for example:
- Manufacturing precision parts and assemblies using processes such as turning or milling
- Programming, setting up and operating CNC machine tools
- Handling the control technology of the machines and monitoring the production process
What You Should Bring
- You will have at least completed middle school with good grades in technical subjects such as math, physics and crafts/ technology.
- Diligence and a sense of responsibility are very important for your desired profession.
- You are skilled and have technical understanding.
- A little bit of English wouldn't hurt either, as you may come across some technical drawings and terms in English and we work in an international environment.
- You work carefully and responsibly on tasks that are assigned to you.
- An office workstation is too boring for you in the long run, you also like to lend a hand physically.
- Our high-tech machining centers run around the clock - so you should be prepared to work in shifts after your apprenticeship.
What We Offer
- We offer optimal training conditions with our modern and well-equipped training center as well as our dedicated and qualified instructors.
- Your training is important, but so is your free time. We have a 35-hour week, so there is enough time for your private life.
- We are in the metal and electrical collective agreement and offer our trainees an attractive remuneration package.
- We support you in your exam preparation with preparatory courses, old exams and intensive supervision.
- Our working atmosphere is impressive; people help each other wherever they can.
- A large team of trainees and dual students makes it easier for you to get started and creates plenty of opportunities for exchange.
- Your work clothes are provided and washed for you.
- Our on-site canteen serves seasonal and fresh meals.
And after the apprenticeship? Our trainees are taken on for at least one year after completing their training normally. However, most of our trainees stay with us much longer and we are happy to accompany them through their career. But the end of the apprenticeship is by no means the end of the line - further training is important to us, which is why we have created the Alpine Campus. There, you will find qualification measures tailored to your current career level, so that you can always stay up to date.
