Job Description:

IKOS is currently seeking a Power Electronics Engineer (Junior, Mid-Senior, or Senior) to join the Medium Voltage Drives R&D team. This team is dedicated to the design and development of Medium Voltage Power Electronics Frequency Converters, engineered to perform under diverse operating conditions across multiple industries such as railway, marine, wind, water, oil and gas, metals, and mining.

Your Responsibilities:

• Medium Voltage System Design: Contribute to the innovative design and development of advanced Medium Voltage systems.
• Component Specification and Testing: Define, test, and qualify the key components for new products to ensure operational excellence.
• Innovation and Solution Implementation: Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions.
• Project Phases: Engage in all phases, from conceptual design using simulation tools to final validation in our R&D labs, with a particular focus on MV component qualification and collaboration with key suppliers.

Your Profile:

• Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Electronics and High Power/Medium Voltage applications.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with High Power and Medium Voltage converters is a strong asset.
• Skills in Simulation and System Design: Proficiency in modeling, simulation, and system design analysis using advanced engineering tools.
• Personal Qualities: Self-organized and motivated, you thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary R&D environment.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, with German and/or French skills as an advantage.
