JCW is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading international bank with a strong presence in the German market. We are looking for a Financial Stress Testing Manager to join a dynamic finance team focused on ensuring financial resilience through robust modelling and scenario planning. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance or risk professional to contribute to key regulatory and strategic deliverables.
Location: Berlin (Hybrid) or remote with occasional travel
Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular financial stress testing exercises in line with regulatory frameworks (e.g. ICAAP, LSI, PRA).
Develop and maintain advanced stress testing models to simulate various economic and financial scenarios.
Analyse and interpret test outcomes, creating detailed reports and management summaries.
Collaborate with risk, finance, and second-line teams to ensure consistent application of modelling assumptions.
Continuously enhance methodologies, tools, and controls within the stress testing environment.
Report findings and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders.
Support the Planning & Reporting function in delivering cross-functional finance insights.
Your Profile:
A qualified accountant or holder of a relevant Master’s degree, with 5 years post-qualification experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS (HGB a plus).
Proven experience with financial modelling, discounted cashflows, and stress testing tools.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Python.
Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
Business-oriented approach with the ability to influence across departments.
