IT Network Design Specialist (m/w/d)

Join our dynamic global team at Nordex as IT Network Design Specialist! In this role, you'll be at the forefront of creating innovative network designs for wind farms, contributing to sustainable energy solutions worldwide.

YOUR TASKS

• Craft and implement cutting-edge network solutions tailored to customer needs for Nordex Onshore wind park projects, leveraging our corporate network designs and components
• Work closely with Network Architects, Project Engineers, and the documentation team to ensure seamless project execution
• Adjust and refine network drawings throughout all project phases, from preparation to configuration and installation
• Ensure all network designs adhere to Nordex's high corporate standards
• Design configurations for various network components, including switches, routers, firewalls, sensors, and custom options
• Assist colleagues in understanding and implementing network designs and processes
• Evaluate and provide feedback on the material list of network components (SCADA CMAT) based on your hands-on experience
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• Skilled in network design software, with experience in Microsoft Visio being a plus
• Strong background in computer networks and their configuration, including IP concepts, firewalls, and ports
• High level of knowledge in communication protocols
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented
• Proven experience in providing technical support to colleagues and users at various levels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multitasking teams with a collaborative attitude
• Ready to travel within Germany for business purposes (5-10%)
