Job Description

As an Associate (Corporate Finance / M&A), you will be a key member of our corporate finance / M&A deal team, supporting and / or managing transaction execution and business development activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing a broad spectrum of corporate finance / M&A transactions (both sell-side and buy-side) from kick-off to completion, working closely with senior team members and clients
• Mentoring and training of more junior team members (Analysts and interns) on the job
• Preparing new business presentations and other client presentations in close collaboration with both junior and senior team members
• Reviewing of financial modeling and valuation analysis, including DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis
• Preparing marketing materials (e.g. teasers, info memos, management presentations) for sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments
• Conducting in-depth industry and company research to support strategic recommendations
• Managing due diligence processes and transaction execution on a day-to-day basis, liaising with clients, counterparties, and other advisors to drive deal progress
• Actively participating in client meetings (both marketing and execution)

Required Qualifications

We seek candidates who demonstrate the following:

• Well-rounded academic background, ideally with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field from a top tier university
• Prior corporate finance / M&A-related experience is required (3 years)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and manage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English are required
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• A proactive and self-motivated approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
