Position Summary:
As the Head of Engineering Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of engineering projects. You will oversee all aspects of engineering operations, from planning and resource allocation to quality control and process improvement. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and supporting the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive engineering operations strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of engineering professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Resource Management: Manage engineering resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to optimise productivity and minimise waste.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure that engineering products and services meet the highest standards.
Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration with other departments, such as research and development, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact engineering operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Ideally have come from a robotics or automated machinery environment. .
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering operations or a related field.
Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
Strong project management skills, including experience with agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
