Customer Master Data Werkstudent

Job Description

Are you passionate about data and looking to gain experience in the software industry? Join our fantastic Customer Master Data team as a working student/intern!

We are a small global team with members in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the US taking care of Customer and Partner Data in our Customer Relationship Management Database. The tasks will vary around execution of the day-to-day of data quality efforts while driving the strategic efforts to transform the company into a data-driven organisation.

In this role you will have wide responsibilities ranging from administering the Salesforce CRM system (as the master data system of record) to setting data standards and policies that will support data quality throughout the organisation. You will work with Data Governance, Sales Operations and the IT teams while maintaining the data quality within the CRM system with the goal of triaging and resolving issues in data quality and improving accessibility and availability to internal data consumers.

At the same time, you will execute the SUSE Data Governance Policy and the supporting standards and processes. You will work closely with data owners, data stewards, and data stakeholders throughout the organisation. Areas of focus are also likely to be varied, but will include Master data sources, reference data, and transactional data. Success will be achieved as the business is able to rely upon data to make accurate and timely decisions and the data-driven culture becomes a competitive advantage.

Focus Areas

  • Actively support Senior Manager and your peers within the function and resolve data issues raised by users.
  • Proactively support/manage data improvement projects.
  • Supporting data quality issue investigation and documentation.
  • Analyse large data sets in Google sheets and identify root causes for data corruption/ incompleteness.
  • Monitor key areas of Data Quality and ensure a high level of data integrity.
  • Proactively support/drive troubleshooting, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis to minimize disruptions and data quality issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Masters degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration or related field
  • Good knowledge of Google sheets, docs, slides and gmail (alternatively Microsoft Office package)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
