You Are
You are a dynamic and highly motivated professional with a strong background in HW/SW codesign for high-performance AI systems. You have at least four years of experience in optimizing AI-centric systems. Your expertise spans across various AI/ML approaches and technologies, and you are proficient in a range of development frameworks such as CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and TVM. You possess a solid understanding of ML workloads, algorithmic optimizations, and performance tuning considerations. Your technical acumen is matched by your excellent customer interfacing skills, allowing you to empathize with clients and effectively translate their needs into practical solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving innovation in AI HW/SW codesign by evaluating emerging technologies, industrial trends, and academic advancements.
- Analyzing and optimizing the behavior of various deep learning methods, proposing new features to accelerate or enable these methods, and developing advanced model compression techniques.
- Collaborating with customers on strategic projects, understanding their system-level AI requirements, and providing optimized HW/SW solutions.
- Working with diverse teams, including deep learning experts, hardware architects, and software engineers, to systematically translate requirements into architectural solutions.
- Contributing to the development of AI reference applications and platforms that demonstrate Synopsys' comprehensive technology and expertise.
- Developing tools and methodologies for HW/SW codesign in machine learning applications.

What You’ll Need
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4 years of experience in HW/SW codesign for high-performance AI systems.
- Proficiency in AI/ML approaches and technologies, including hands-on experience with frameworks like CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and TVM.
- Strong knowledge of ML workloads, algorithmic optimizations, and performance tuning considerations.
- Experience in benchmarking, performance analysis, and optimization, as well as performance modeling and virtual prototypes.
- Expertise in implementing optimized compute algorithms on accelerated hardware such as SIMD, GPUs, FPGAs, or DNN ASICs.
- Understanding of core deep learning kernels and experience in optimizing ML accuracy with low precision formats.
- Knowledge of designing and utilizing AI accelerators, hardware description languages like Verilog, and front-end design and verification flows.
