Senior Accountant

Introduction to the Position

We are currently working with a prominent company that is looking to hire a Senior Accountant with strong expertise in accounting and DATEV systems. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about accounting, controlling, and compliance.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations, ensuring accurate month-end close processes, and improving accounting procedures. Your Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of both local GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Proven experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, focusing on Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Hands-on experience with DATEV, including general ledger maintenance, monthly reconciliations, and VAT declarations.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
• Responsible for month-end close processes, with a focus on revenue and AR, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Committed to continuous process optimization, including automation and scaling of manual tasks.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on AR and general ledger management.
• In-depth knowledge of DATEV and its applications for financial reporting.
• Strong experience with IFRS and local GAAP (HGB) standards.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing automation in accounting processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
