Senior Automotive Exterior Designer

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for exterior design concepts, including sketches and renderings.
2. Collaborate with digital modelers to develop and refine 3D design concepts.
3. Work closely with engineering teams to analyze and resolve design-engineering balance issues, offering viable solutions.
4. Guide clay modelers through the creation, adjustment, and optimization of clay models.
5. Mentor and support creative exterior designers, ensuring continuity and execution of concept ideas across project stages (primarily responsible for Class A tracking).
6. Collaborate with detail designers to complete fine details, and participate in all design phases from initial concept through to final production.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least one production vehicle design project completed; deep knowledge of the full vehicle production process and comprehensive expertise in exterior design engineering.
2. Exceptional creativity and innovation, with excellent sketching and rendering abilities and a strong curiosity for new ideas and concepts.
3. Strong design execution skills, with an excellent ability to translate 2D concepts into 3D models and execute them effectively.
4. Advanced skills in digital and physical model control, with excellent team collaboration abilities.
5. Proficient in design software; experience with polygon modeling (Ploy modeling) is preferred.
6. Degree in industrial design, automotive design, or a related field.
