Accountant (Gozo)

Main Duties:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Compiling financial reports, including budgets, balance sheets, and financial plans.
• Updating and reconciling general ledger entries.
• Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies through data analysis.
• Overseeing payroll administration.
• Ensuring statutory financial records are accurately maintained.
• Coordinating with auditors by providing necessary documentation.
• Managing EU and/or national funding applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.
• Reviewing and implementing improvements to accounting processes for operational efficiency.

What skills do you need:

• ACCA qualification (completed or in the final stages) or an equivalent certification.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a semi-senior or managerial role (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in written and spoken Maltese and English.
• Clean police conduct certificate.

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
