Marketing Trainee

Action is one of the fastest-growing non-food discounters in Europe, and our Digital Marketing department plays a crucial role in that success. We manage the digital experience across multiple channels and campaigns, ensuring millions of customers engage with our brand through our website, app, and digital marketing efforts. As a Management Trainee in the Digital Department, you'll be at the heart of our digital transformation, gaining hands-on experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, customer insights, data analytics, and customer engagement.

You will embark on an 18-month program consisting of three key pillars: professional development and cross-functional learning alongside the entire group of trainees, three 6 month rotations across multiple teams, and assignments & goals that will help you become a successful collaborator within your team. By the end of this program, you will be a fully equipped professional, ready to contribute to Action’s future plans.

As a Digital Management Trainee, you'll dive into various aspects of our digital strategy, learning from experienced professionals while working on real projects. Your role will include:

• Digital Marketing: Assisting in the development and execution of online campaigns, SEO, SEA, social media, and CRM initiatives.
• E-commerce & Web Management: Supporting the optimization of our webshop, improving product pages, and enhancing the online customer journey and loyalty programs.
• Data & Analytics: Analyzing customer behavior, campaign performance, and digital KPIs to drive insights and improve decision-making.
• Customer Experience: Helping to improve digital touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey.
• Innovation & Automation: Exploring AI-driven content creation, personalization, and automation within digital marketing and customer engagement.
• You will work on your assignments and prepare for the periodical assessments.
  
  

Throughout your traineeship, you’ll rotate across different digital functions to develop a well-rounded skill set and gain a deep understanding of Action’s digital strategy.

Your Team

At Action, our Digital team is a fast-paced, dynamic environment filled with specialists in digital marketing, e-commerce, customer insights and product development. We work closely with multiple departments, including Marketing, Store Format, Buying and Technology, to ensure a seamless and data-driven approach to digital commerce.

You’ll be working with a team of digital experts who are passionate about optimizing customer engagement, leveraging data for strategic insights, and driving growth in Action’s online presence. From the moment you start, you’ll have a dedicated mentor and a supportive team ready to guide you on your journey.

Your Background

• A completed bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data analytics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of work experience (can be in an internship or another professional field).
• Affinity with digital marketing, e-commerce, or online customer engagement.
• Ability to communicate in English (spoken and written).
• Basic understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEA, social media, email marketing).

• Learning agility to be able to gain as much knowledge as possible from all your interactions and projects during the Traineeship.
• Analytical thinking to be able to assess situations and make data-driven decisions.
